Can you win playing the Crab Opening

This was a game I played elsewhere, in which I won after playing the Crab Opening, and developing my rook early, against a lower rated opponent.  I wanted to see in this game if I could still beat my opponent if I played an opening that may not really be a sound opening, and found that I could.

You can win with any opening.  The difference is you have no real advantage going into the middle game.  If you like equal positions, they are fine as long as there is no direct refutation.

Take the following game I played a week and a half ago against a 1775 (I was White) over the board with time control G/75, Inc/15:

1.c3 d5 2.Qa4+ c6 3.h3 e5 4.d3 Bd6 5.Nd2 Nf6 6.g4 h6 7.Bg2 O-O 8.Nf1 Nh7 9.Ng3 b5 10.Qc2 a5 11.Bf3 Qh4 12.e4 Nf6 13.Be2 Bxg4?? 14.hxg4 Qxh1 15.Nxh1 1-0

But just because I won does not make this just as sound as a normal opening like 1.e4.
