Personally, I would suggest learning an opening for black.

The Caro-Kann and French are also both really good openings to learn, some alternatives though include the Scandinavian, the Pirc, etc.

None of them is "the best". There is no such thing as "the best opening".

Your e5 is as good (or better) than anything else. There is absolutely no reason to change it, but if you want to change it, that's also okay.

Openings matter a lot less than most people think. As long as you avoid dumb memes like the Bongcloud.
