Closed Sicilian side lines

I just recently played a game that started with a Closed Sicilian (1. e4 c5 2.Nc3 e6) with the continuation 3. Nf3 d6 4.g3 Nf6 5. Bg2  As a response, I played 5. ...e5 with the purpose of transforming into some sort of reverse Stonewall. However, looking through the Game Explorer, I saw that this line was nowhere on record. Is this a bad line? Why/Why not?

It's not absolutely BAD, but you are moving a pawn twice in the opening, and while that's happening, white improves their position and develops. Secondly, the hole that is left at d5 is a pretty big weakness, one that I personally wouldn't want to have right out of the opening.
