Nice game! I don't see the Petroff, because everybody in the 1300s plays Nc6 or philidor.

To be honest, I don't see it that much either. Recently I have seen it in a few games, so I decided to find out a bit about this gambit.
Here's the Cochrane in correspondence:
The Cochrane Gambit is an attempt to liven up what could otherwise be a dull Petroff Defence! Though White concedes his natural opening advantage, he changes the course that the game might go down. King safety is not the main issue Black has to deal with; rather finding good squares for his pieces.
Here's a blitz game, haven't been playing blitz very well recently, nor is this a very accurate game, but it was enjoyable!
