In two pages we have gone from chess to trolling to Enlightenment-era philosophies of governance.
Both e4 and d4 work perfectly fine and give white a good shot for advtange. Some purists might say you have to play ages of e4 before you switch to d4 but personally i do not agree. In the end you should play what you like and what fits your style and temperament.
In both d4 and e4 the same opening principles are valid.
- Development
- Castle
- Connection of the rooks
Btw looking at your blitz games you do develop good with black while playing terrible moves with white. So i suggest you normally develop with white before you decide what type of game fits you.
