Heres Another opening, Its called Ruy Lopez.

This is a really common opening, and it shows up alot during the early stages of beginners, or when chess is started to be played.

This opening can still tag along as your chess ranking goes up, and you become a Novice from Beginner.

Yep, this Ruy Lopez still happens in games involving Masters And World Champions. But not that much, other openings are generally played among Masters And World Champions.

If you Intermmidiates Forgot about this, seeing this will give you a memory recover, as of when this opening occured in your generations (or 8-8 length) games.

I'm still a novice, so this Continues happen to me!

Enjoy!Smile

actually, the ruy lopez is much more common at a high level than at a beginner level.  It's surprisingly rare at beginner level in my experience, where the italian game, two knghts, scotch, 4 knights (most common at lower beginner levels/scholastic and quite rare at say 1200+ fide level) , maybe even french is more common.  At the semi-recent grand prix in baku i think the ruy lopez was easily the most common opening, even significantly more than the sicilian or the slav.  It's definitely played LOTS at the 2700+ level.  The only thing atm is that some of the very top players are queens pawn type players so in a match between them, you wont see any ruys.

This is among the most common openings, even at the World Championship level. The Sicilian (1. e4 c5) and Queen's Gambit (1. d4 d5 2. c4) are probably the only more common openings at that level.
