I would probably play the position like above as it seems very natural and human like.

White would have small advantage because Black can’t castle and will have his king in center.

Black would have Bishop pair + 2 center pawns.

The game would be imbalanced enough for both sides to have chances of winning.

The computer engine doesn’t like the above line I showed. It thinks Black is losing and wants to play a series of moves.

The engine starts with d4.

The engine line makes sense, but it doesn’t seem very normal to me.

The top engine move after Ng5 is Pawn D5, which is what you should probably play.
