My favorite is probably King's gambit as black :D but no one ever plays it as white.
Do you play 1.e4 e5?

spanish game is memorized to bits though, sometimes doesnt feel like you're actually playing chess until a lot of moves in. that is why i try to avoid it, opponent will always know more than you unless you really put some study into it.

Ruy Lopez is the most interesting, but I'm surprised not a lot of players play the Elephant Gambit, which is actually very strong
The reason most players avoid the Elephant gambit with black is because it sux. White has at least one way to force a clear advantage.

Latvian gambit (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 d5) and Elephant gambit (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 f5) seem very questionable :P Yes i`ve never come across anyone daring enough to play those lol

I play 1.e4 and I usually 1.e4 e5 as well as Black. I like playing the King's Gambit as both White and Black. I also quite like the Open Ruy Lopez as Black - it's funny how many RL players stop and think for a while after I play Nxe4 :-)

Yeah KIA and KID is pretty solid, but the sicilian has tons of theory by itself :P Maybe you'd consider another hypermodern defence for 1.e4, like b6 (owen's defence) or Nc6 (nimzowitsch defence), i consider sicilian (and the English) less hypermodern.

I like the half Danish! 1) e4 e5 2) d4 exd4 3) c3 dxc3 4) Nxc3! Well worth a pawn! White develops the Q's Knight, opens up the diagonals for both Bishops and controls the d file.

Whats your favorite variation of e4-e5? Which one is probably the sharpest...
King's Gambit, Bishop Opening, Vienna game, Center Game, the Ponziani, Petrov's defence, Scotch game, Four Knights, Ruy Lopez, and Italian game.
