Does the Opening Explorer know what it's talking about?

So I was trying to convince my friend that the Neumann Gambit is unplayable because Black has too many ways to refute it and White dosen't really get strong threats like in the normal Ponziani or real gambits like the Scotch etc...

Then I saw Chess.com claims some amazing players have played this gambit (Nepo, Grischuk, Ivanchuk)... However I can't actually see any of their games with this opening in any database...

So is this just wrong or am I missing something?

Thanks

It's most likely a mistake confusing position with similar one with Bc5 instead of Nf6, or something like this.

OK... hope they fix it... It would be nice to be able to actually see a list of master games by opening but it's annoying they just put random stuff lol

and just to confirm.. this gambit is officialy trash, right?

I don't really know for sure, but would have thought so.

You have to be careful with the opening explorer when it comes to transpositions. After ... Bc5 you are in a mainline.

Another example.

Just use Lichess opening explorer and search by master games. When I put in the explorer, I found this game between Radjabav and Anand which I will leave below

Also, you can use the Lichess database to look up what other players on the site have played and for whatever rating level they are, and with engine assistance to help guide you.

lol Anand didn't take...

Still I'm confused as to why it says Nepo Grischuk and Ivanchuk played it dozens of times.. according to what exactly?

Like ok, bullet/blitz games you say - where are they? and why does chess.com mention them when in all the databases Anand Radja is pretty much the one and only master game in this stupid opening
