Does anyone know what the opening that I use is called? I always wanted to know!

Here's an example :

It's kind of a weird version of the 4-move checkmate with MANY variations!

is what im playing

It is called Van't Kruijs Opening. It might be good for a 'one off' against a low rater, but any opening that gives black immediate equality and Master's don't tend to do that well w/ it doesn't seem like a good one in the long run to me (IMHO).

I agree with princetonlion, at least for the first move.

It's pretty easy to counter at Qh5, just protect the e5 pawn with the Queenside knight

I'm not an expert on openings :P  I'm still a patzer

Avatar of cfvb

princetonlion only knows how to counter Qh5 because I told him loll I still get great position even if he uses it

Avatar of cfvb

PATZER ALERT ahhhhh jk

I think d4 and e4 deserve names, even though rarely played.

Nh3 is also called the Ammonia Attack or the Drunken Knight

Avatar of Fish_Ninja

It's a reverse French, folks.

It's called the Scared Opening.

Or it's played by someone who thinks they are playing checkers...
