e5 in sicilian to sacrifice pawn and expose black's king?

I actually don't play this as white, but I'm having a suitable defense as black.

Well, first of all, with the moves up there, White can play 9. Bxf7+, winning the queen.

As to where Black should deviate, it's 6. ... e6 or 6. ... Nbd7. 6. ... Nc6 is a little inaccurate; the best way to recover is probably 8. ... Nd7.
