Englund's Gambit checkmate in 7

yes and nc6 should be next after queen takes b pawn (somehow white could trap the queen to win a black pawn but i forgot the sequence of moves after)

Nice gg
Thanks! But I recommend dropping the Englund Gambit may be after crossing 1200 and play one of the reputable Indian Defences.
Or better yet, learn one the the Indian Defences and don’t bother with the Englund.

They might want to drop the Englund earlier if they want to reach that rating... it gets in the way of improving one's understanding of chess

For me, I got sick of running into the London System; shut down the London on move 1.
Secondly, I didn’t enjoy playing against others d4 preparation and grinding it out so exercising my tactics for the cost of one pawn wasn’t significant enough of a deficit to decide the outcome of the game.
The Englund was the interim solution until I found my Indian Defence.

I have done a part 1 & 2 video on beating the Englund on https://www.youtube.com/@nuttychesstips with the knight line or the bishop line if any of you are interested.
