hi
Evans Gambit
this is what i played when i had 3..bc5 in my repertoire. it's not as crazy as the other lines. black returns the pawn on e5. i don't like the dry symmetry in many lines of the italian so i avoided bc5 lines and went for 3..nf6 and if d3 i went for the be7 lines.
Here are two Kasparov games with it:

I haven't played the evans gambit in a long while, but then I mostly play daily, and it's difficult to get an enduring initiative from it in daily play. Still, why no? Would you prefer the white side, black, or two games, one with each? Rapid, or Daily?
two games of each! It'd be great to practice both ends of it!

Thank you so much!

I set up a couple of Evans Gambits tournaments recently. They are quite popular and this one has some strong players in it

In my experience it is much harder to play than Ginger GM makes it sound in the Spicy Openings lessons. The basic idea for White is 1) gambit 2) castle 3) attack f7 but in practice there are so many different ways that Black can disrupt your plan.
For example, in the engine match that tygxc posted, White never gets to play Bxf7, because the moves is only playable if Black makes a mistake.
I reckon for the average player it takes many months of practice to get good at playing Evans Gambit games, both as Black and as White. However it is a lot of fun to play. A lot of Italian games are quite boring but this gambit livens things up considerably.
