Explore opponent games

Hi,

I want to prepare a game against an opponent. It is about a specific opening. I went to his homepage and after clicking on "explore", setting the opening and clicking on "search", it is only showing two games of that specific opening. I already played this opening against this opponent, and those games are not showing up, neither other games played with this specific opening.

Am I doing something wrong or is it something else causing this inconvenience?

Any help is appreciated.

So you are using Explore with other user's games? It's possible if the games are fairly recent, the don't show up yet in explorer.

What happens if you go to their archive and do an opening search there?

I get the same result when I go to their archive. It ain't about the games being recent. I played about five months ago two games with this player with the same opening I searched for in his archive and they are not showing up either.

They weren't from thematic tourneys, were they? I knew at one point games that didn't have a standard start position didn't show up in Explorer. As far as I can recall, that was fixed.

Yes, they are from a thematic tournament. Some games of that tournament are showing up, others not. I contacted the chess.com staf via email. I'm waiting for an answer.

How do I apply explorer to a game in progress when using New Chess.com?

You can click on the name of the opening in the upper right as shown in the screenshot that I attached.
