French Defense: Paulsen Variation (I need some help)

Khan never read a single chess book in his life and never focused on opening theory, yet he was one of the best players for a short period of seven years.
Opening theory is useless. Anyone with great understanding of the game would never bother memorizing lines. They would play and learn.
Capablanca didn't know much opening theory either and yet he was good but you see there is a corolation between the two players they both had very short periods of greatness they might have excellent natural abilty but eventually you need to know theory or else you will be beaten and opening theory is far from useless
