@Snudo: Thanks for that analysis. I'm glad I posted the game here, because I totally forgot about attacking bishop, totally right should have done that. Also does that queen trap come naturally to you, I would not have seen that tactic naturally, how do you spot them so quickly.

@Bode Eric: That is also good, but I started this thread because of the knight sacrifice that can come if both castle the same side

@Lola: I don't understand your reply. I didn't play kf1, I'm the other player.

I like pushing pawns, and I wanted to play Bg5, but that fails to Bxf6!. So simple solution: Kick the bishop from h4 to g3, where it has nowhere to go AND blocks the queen's only flight square from a Bg4 move.

what i posted was a way to avoid the knight sac with your dark squared bishop parked out on c5.

the knight sac isn’t always so bad for black. in your game, it is fine for black if you are comfortable handling it.

LOL...  Not D3....Ng5, Fried liver and onion attack.  You get more value for the position. Black has no real answer to it.  ......Nh6 is a bust with Bxh6.   .....BE6, BxB, F7xB. NxP with a attack at the Queen plus the G7 Pawn...Whites Queen in getting ready to take up a stand on  either  H5 or G4.  Now black does has some counter play with BXf2 check and then Queen F7 check.. Wins the knight back but its really a toss up as far as it goes.

Ran the position through fritz 8.  It came up with a solution where black gives back the piece but goes up an exchange.

Here's a game, a good example of pushing pawns in front of your king when you aren't supposed to

plumpercat

stop being a noob thats how. u play awful

@Clavius: Thanks for the great analysis. I will keep those in mind

@James: Thanks, that was a great defense, I should keep this in my mind

@Snudo: Thanks for that game, yeah that game really showed your point. Good to know that even at 2000 level this can occur

@Bode Eric: Hey I tried your method and was winning the game all the way whole piece up, then lost on time. Such a shame was going to post it here, if I won. Thanks, your method is good if both sides castled.

If you are not good with your pawns I suggest that you never castle the same side as your opponent because then your kings pawns will be compromised. And such cases always castle opposite of your opponent hence you would have to wait on your opponent to castle that way you can attack with the pawns .
