Good setup specifically against the KIA?

In case I'm playing black against someone who will definitely play the KIA, what should be my opening moves?

I play a QGD sort of setup where I ram all (and I do mean ALL) my Q-side pawns up the board against standard KIA stuff.

I would say anything that allows you to meet f4 with f5. This would include Nf6 to d7/h5 or e8 (after you castle) or Ne7 first, if his f5 push never comes then you should have a relaxing time fighting in the center or queenside.

Play whatever game you're comfortable with. I play both sides, and personally play a more positional game against it when I face it as Black. But to go about it the classic how-it's-meant-to-be-played game, yes shove your e6, d5,c5,b5,a5/6 and ram it down White's throat before he rams all his king's pawns on you. But I tend to like that on the White side, so that's why personally I just play positional, play normal chess. After all, don't give him a centre and it slows down a bit.

@myk99 I don't think I've ever played someone who denied me an f5 push on the White side of KIA. Could you post a game if you can so I can have an idea of what sort of setup would that be? It'd either be a killer or i just sac a pawn to open the g file and pile on rooks. Since f5 denial seems a little hard on white...

Sure, I usually run into the KIA when Im playing black, Sicillian, usually acc dragon so thats the set up I am going off of. These moves may not be the most popular in the database, but it gets the idea across I hope.

I have found these game as the point of 8...Ne8  The f4 pawn push may come sooner or later.

That's a closed Sicilian, not a KIA.

is the setup not the same on whites side with the same ideas?

I always thought of the KIA as a system that can be played aganst any opening, sicillian/french/caro not just the move order. correct me if Im wrong in thinking that.
