In this video analysis we will explore an interesting way of countergambiting the Grob gambit by white.

the grob is just sooooo rare, it really isn't worth studying, but if this is a SIMPLE system, I'll give it a try, but i'd likely forget it before i ever see another 1:2000 grob

I want to learn the Grob

That's great, we need more players to play The Grob so we get to play this countergambit grin.png

Dont think you should even bother trying to study it

Hey thanks for that song 😀 so I've only been aware of the Romford countergambit for like a week and had one dude playing the Grob against me so far... But guess what? He fell for the Nf3 trap. I don't think people are well prepared against Romford. They face this line literally like in 1% if their games (getting that number from Lichess database). Otherwise I couldn't really make much sense from what you wrote. Here is the game:

ALL of the d3 lines are bogus

nobody plays d3

it's Na3 Nb5 then what, white?

it's already over.

Everybody plays 7.d3.

7.Na3 seems very suspect after 7...Bxa3 8.bxa3 d3.

"it's already over" ----> i agree on that. White's position seems unrepairable.
