Oh I thought I'd add that there are some other halloween themed openings. I like the Vampire gambit (1. e4 e5 2. d4 exd4 3.f4!) and the Frankenstein-Dracula variation of the Vienna game if you feel you don't have enough campy-ness in your chess playing.
Halloween Gambit!!

It doesn't look that strong to me. It would be great if it only costed a pawn but losing a piece really hurts the potential attack. The pawns gain a ton of space but white I think would have trouble taking advantage of it with less attackers.

Placing a white pawn on d6 after the opening moves is very constricting. If you play the gambit positionally, it's likely that even though you've lost a piece, you'll still have more *active* pieces when the game is decided, unless black returns the material.

Looks even less sound than some gambits I love. At 10 moves out, up a piece, not that much better developed, the gambiteer should be punished by the end of the game.

Analysis seems to have shown that 5... Nf6 is the correct response, and that it undermines the Halloween Gambit too much: http://www.chessville.com/UCO/Halloween_Gambit/UON13HalloweenGambit.pdf

Why not play 9. Qxf6, mate?
edit: Oh, I thought we had castled. I see that we're in check now. Well, could still mate if black doesn't defend...
I ll probably get a big beating on this one.But still i have some ideas i would like to put in practice...

I got hammered by Ilovegambits with that one, never seen it before a month or so, but you know what they say, "once bitting, twice shy!

Please anyone who want to play halloweengambit feel fre to challenge me, just make sure to name the game halloweengambit since Im not used to play this gambit. Looks like a fun play afterwards.

JRadis, you want to play one as white and one as black?
Happy Halloween everyone. In the spirit of Halloween, you should start a game using C46 I believe...the Halloween gambit! I'm playing two games right now (one as each color). Thought I'd start this post to remind people of this festive opening and also generate some discussion on any ideas/complaints/praise people have concerning the opening. By the way, in case you aren't familiar with the opening, here is a diagram:
