idk but I like the french. sorry that wasn't too helpful
Hecht Reefschlager

What the heck ... lager ?!? Well, it's indeed an interesting sharp variation! The immediate 6...Kd7 is better than 6...g6. In the position on the diagram, white has a serious advantage. Possible best lines: 9. Kd1, 9. Rb1 and 9. exf6.

Interesting variation, similar with this well known line in Tarrash :
As mentionned, 6...Kd7 is interesting (maybe better but not sure...).
Thomas Rendle proposes Nge7 instead of f6, he gives a video series on 3...Nc6 on chess.com :
I am not sure about f6 in his line, i prefer developing first, like this Jobava's game :
I am trying out the Hecht Reefschlager variation in the French. My only source is John Watson's Dangerous Weapons: The French, which doesn't give the line I've just encountered. It looks very sharp, and a quick analysis with Fritz suggests it might be a promising idea for White. Any thoughts?
