How do I invent/publish my own opening?

It sounds kind stupid, but I made a response to the Indian, which is: 1. d4 Nf6 2. e4 Nxe4 3. c3 d5 4. Nf3

what is the purpose of 2. e4? it gives away a central pawn for no compensation.

It's called the Omega Gambit, but idk if its that good.

If you have no idea if it is any good, then there is no use in trying to invent it, let alone publish it!

You can't really invent a new opening. Almost all of the combinations of the first 1-3 moves have a name unless they are really trash, and even some that are bad have names, like the Ware Opening.

As Optimissed mentioned, it's been done before, and Black has scored better than White. I'd say it's bad.

I know it's the Bird's Opening but it's a variation of it i guess.
