How do you defend against a bishop sacrifice in scotch openings

There's a lot of lessons on scotch defense, but I cannot find any that teaches black how to defend when they immediately sacrifice the bishop and start an attack, although there are a ton of videos of how to use the bishop sacrifice to immediately win.

1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. d5 exd4
4. Bc4 Bb4+
5. c3 dxc3
6. Nxc3 d6
7. Bxf7+ Kxf7
8. Ng5+

This seems to put black in an impossible position of having to defend against a queen, a knight and bishop with king out of position, and it is extremely difficult for me to navigate out of a mate for black at this point. At best I end up having your h rook completely stuck for the remaining of the game and white would hold an overwhelming advantage the remaining of the game.

White is just down a piece. Where is his attack supposed to come from?

Black can retreat his King to either f8 or e8, trade off White's c3 Knight if White un-pins it by castling, and then start driving White's pieces back after which White has no compensation for the sacrificed piece.
