How do you play against Benoni

I always play d4, but I get bad scores when I play against the Benoni. Is there any sort of system that can refute the Benoni? I am a London System player btw

Play the bongcloud!

I play the Benoni a lot and its really solid

I don't like open positions

I try to advance in the center. I usually find the KID more challenging.

If you are going to be a stubborn London player and not willing to learn the Queen's Gambit and Various Indian Defenses, then I can't help you.

The London is equal at best, worse for White against the Modern Defense, and against Benoni responses, there is nothing for White!

Best way to beat the Benoni is via the Flick Knife Attack - 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.d5 e6 4.Nc3 exd5 5.cxd5 d6 6.e4 g6 7.f4 Bg7 8.Bb5+!

The London System against 1...d5 is possibly "acceptable", but that is about it.  Without ...d5 played, the London is hot garbage!

tactic

Once you learn the key concepts of the benoni it should not be a problem. Practice is key to mastering these openings, I recommend practicing openings against a friend or an engine.

1. d4 c5 2. c3 trying to get back into the London. After 1. d4 c5 2. d5 there are lots of different lines Black can play (with e5, keeping the pawn at e7, e6-exd5, with Nf6 or not, trying to play for trades or keep all the pieces...), so no clear recipe available.

If you want to play an actual line against the Benoni, the Ne2 lines have never failed me.

If you want an easy "system" just play the Trompowsky against 1...Nf6

You still might see 1...c5 if white insists on a Benoni, but after 1.d4 c5 2.d5 Nf6 3.Nc3 can be a headache for black.

Ok thanks

I'll try learning the Trompowsky, I heard it's really dangerous

If you don't want to learn, if you don't want to accept changes, then why you asking?
