6... b6 shows a complete misunderstanding of the position. 6... Ne4 is premature but playable, but then you follow it up with the terrible b6 move. The a-pawn is a huge weakness that should cost him the pawn. Black should never allow white to simply trade it off.

Black should simply play the natural developing move 6... e6, followed by Bd6. Note that black is in no hurry whatsoever to take that a-pawn, it will fall of its own accord in due course. White will never be to develop their queenside without letting that pawn go.

I love the London system. I am going to show you how I play it.

That's how most of my games go and there is also a brilliant fork too.

If you are a d4 player this is a good opening for you.

Dude no one will play like black, the London is trash, if you are a d4 player Queen's Gambit is a good opening for you.

The London is an objectively good opening…

London is about as good objectively as the bird. Take that however you want. But both throw away an opening advantage and seek to outplay them in the middlegame, except that the bird has the option of actually keeping the queens on

It is solid, but it isn't great.

I’m sure you know better than grandmasters, then?

Is it played as common as the queen's gambit? NO!

Is 1. d4 played as common as 1. e4? NO! I guess 1. d4 is worse.

d4 is behind only by 1/5 while the london is behind 39/40 in the masters database.

Wow! Great! So by your own logic, d4 is worse, right?

Sure, the london is solid, but systems will always get beaten by theoretical openings. And I have GothamChess to support that.

One IM vs literally every GM.

All openings end in equality anyways. Some just last more than others - if it ends in equality, it's equal.

I never said the London was the best… another straw man. I said it was objectively good.

Almost every opening is good, but there are better openings.

Another straw man. Your original point was that the London was a bad opening. It’s not. Stop going off topic.

Hate the London. Really boring to play against. As a d4 player, Queen's Gambit is the way to go. It's a lot more fun and it's one of those opening you play to get better at chess instead of doing the same 7 moves against anything

I play the Benoni or the KID against the London.

I love to play a Botvinnik Semi-Slav. Many players don't play into one especially if they play London and when they play e3. They just want to avoid theory

I subbed to your channel. What type of content of chess content do you want to make?

AunTheKnight

I hate the London as much as the next person, Nickolay, but it is not a bad opening, so stop your stupid straw men.

It is bad compared to the much better openings, but it is fine (not best) compared to all openings.

If you want to nitpick then the London is simply slightly inferior to other openings, not bad compared to other openings.

sndeww

It is not. There is not such a big difference.

sndeww

Better, but not much better.

sndeww

not really a big difference.
