Obviously c5, better due to the big theory in all of the variation, if u remeber all of the moves in the most common line, u have win an half of the game.

I like playing against 1...c5 as well, just because I am familiar with it and play it as black (along with the French).  I think it leads to more exciting and dynamic play, and frankly I don't enjoy most Ruy Lopez variations as white.
