I never play Ne4 but figured I would try it in unrated. I don’t study openings yet but usually play variations of the same stuff. I like how this move makes white make some decisions rather than carry out their own agenda.
Since he didn’t take the Ne4 I had my eye on bringing up my Nb8 knight to b4 which I believe would be !! Since my light squared bishop is covering for the knight fork and my dark squared bishop could capture and pin his queen if he took.
instead he played f3?! And bc3?! Which allowed for bg2!! Taking advantage of the overloaded queen and the game was over (though still pretty complicated for black to maintain an advantage).
