I finally found some time to post an introductory article on the Colle-Zukertort.

I don't have time to read that right now, but I'll definitely get around to it soon. Would you recommend the book Zuke Em' by David Rudel? Or do you know of another book that covers this opening better?

Zukertort

Hahahahaha,

I am David Rudel, so uhm...yeah I guess I'd recommend that book ;)

Ha ha, oh my, I didn't even notice.

I'll have to do a lot of looking into this opening. I like unorthodox openings, not exactly dubious openings, just uncommon. I used to play the Bird opening, 1. f4, quite a lot. But now I'm on to 1. e4. The Zukertort looks like something that would satisfy what I'm looking for.

Eric,

I wouldn't really say you "transpose" into anything at that point. You simply refute it ;)

I give over 16 pages of commentary in Zuke 'Em on the K-side onslaught White gets after 4.h3 Bh5 5.g4! Bg6 6.Ne5

I can highly recommend both ZUKE EM and THE MOMENT OF ZUKE by David Rudel.  I own both of them and even those I have only been playing chess for two months, I have a collection of twenty or thirty books and find that the only ones I really put any time into reading are the two above books.  I think Susan Polgar plays the Zukertort and has a dvd out on it.  I think it is volume 7.
