Naa, he just tells his Uncle to say he has a chess.com username called "fieldsoffoce" when he meets jengaias at some tourney somewhere.

But of course.  I will have my passport ready as well as my other documentation.  I will expect jegaias to have his documentation ready.

All of your jagoff lackeys are starting bore me.  Post for your self.  Or are you the chess engine chicken?

US Open is scheduled  for July 29th - Aug. 6th. at the Sheraton Norfoik Waterside Hotel - 777 Waterside Dr., Norfolk, VA 23510.  All of the dates and times have to be during the tournament.

What day?

What time?

At the front desk

Game 120 any public place convenient in the hotel.  Your set or mine as long it is a standard tournament set. Makes no difference.   I have a $160 digital clock.

$160 digital clock? What a waste of money. Even chronos isnt that much

How about this. Play a few 100 blitz games over the course of a month.

The length of time is for chess.com cheat detection.
The number of games is for an accurate rating.

I'm willing to do this... but it's not really necessary since I'm not bragging about how great I am on an account with no ratings at all.

And by the way.  Who is paranoid way out of proportion.  It is just a game between to players.   The eyes of the world will not be upon us.   Of course I have strong chess players secretly planted all over the world, just for such an occasion as this.  You guys are all delusional

Avatar of The_Chin_Of_Quinn

Every type of person has played blitz here. From the lowliest scrub, to the world champion.

You don't need a 2400 blitz rating to impress. Pfren is an IM with not a great blitz rating. Some people aren't good at the time control. No shame... and no excuse as far as I can see.

Last post.  He either accepts and we work out the terms.  Or, I call bullshit via lackey this time.  Or maybe you have multiple personalities on this site.  What a loser!

Yes, I think including 1. b3. There would be two approaches to 2. Bb2. The most obvious is 2. ...  Nf6 but maybe that's vulnerable to e4 or g4. I don't know how the balance would work out. However, since white is playing a passive opening, 2. ...f6 is possible, maybe intending Nh6 - f7 etc. That would seem to be an interesting counter to 1. b3. Wonder if it's been played.

Plot twist. 80% of this forum's members are my accounts. I sleep 1 hour a day. You almost exclusively interact with me no matter who you're chatting with on this site.

I think its playable, but i wont reccomend to play it u are a serious player who wants to improve his chess.

Avatar of fieldsofforce

Two more opinions (Optimissed and ImprovingEveryday) agree with what  I posted.  1...g6 is playable but  definitely not advisable in certain move sequences that give White the central pawn duo without Black having some way to  contest White's central pawn duo.

Jengaias your a loser!!

Yes, I've been reading about the challenges between FoF and Jenglais.  Or keeping up on it, rather.

But this part is weird to me.  I've read quite a few posts by FoF about Blockade and Restrict and Nimzovich, and the importance of Restraint and adopting this framework as a foundation for understanding chess.  So I naturally infer that FoF promotes "hypermodern" play.

So then I read this thread (because the idea of an all-in-one defensive system is appealing for time savings) and I read that FoF will take the side of the duo pawn center against the hypermoderns!

I'm getting whiplash from the incongruity.  Am I missing something?

Hypermodern play is not black magic.  it is subject to a lot of the same rules that Classical play is.  Especially regarding letting your opponent establish a central pawn duo and not contest it.

Just use your common sense.  Playing chess at master or grand master strength isn't magic.

It is quite obvious you have no idea what you are talking about.

No doubt.  But I am sure he would have warned about allowing White the central pawn duo uncontested.

1.e4 g6 2.d4 Bg7 3.Nf3 c5  you are correct you are playing Hypermodern style but definitely contesting White's central pawn duo.

Dem.  I'm an old guy, but I do still laugh a lot of times at funny trash talk.  I used to play basketball, and hearing the brothers trash talk each other was an art and a game in itself.  The one that I read on this thread which is above the belt because it can't be taken seriously is this one by Jengaias:

"By the way , Ron Henley taught you?  You better don't say that.  Poor guy will kill himself."

This tells me that trash talk is universal and spans games, cultures, and countries.

But back to the OP.  Is 1.... g6 playable?  Depends on your standard of the term "playable"?  I don't think it's a guaranteed loss for Black.  And with that minimal standard, it certainly is playable.

You  probably thought  I had forgotten about you.  You can't play chess worth a sh*t.  It is hilarious that you should help others that are trying to ridicule me.  I already have one administrative complaint n against you.  I was willing to give you a second chance to mind your own business.

So, besides knowing next to nothing about chess.  Do you really think you have anything to contribute except hot air and a bad smell.
