Is anything better for me than the Parham?

The problem with that idea is that it takes too long. It would take about 10 moves or so. Say, could you ( The_Gavinator) show us some good lines for white?

The_Gavinator

shepi, in your board move 9 would be h3.

Ben_Dubuque

ignore my mainline it sucks compared to Kxf7 and after your pathetic b4? it looses another pawn

The_Gavinator

jetfighter what are you talking about?

whatupyodog

Jetfighter, you are dumb, here is a recent game in which i pwned someone with the parham, an 1800.

Ben_Dubuque

on the last page, you guys said Bxf7 Pwns, when in fact it looses a minor peice to Kxf7. and whatup added b4 "trapping my knight" when in fact Qxb4 saves it. but I am leaving cause I am sick and tired of being called names, and of arguing, you didn't win, but you didn't loose either, you just annoyed the heck out of me.

The_Gavinator

How does bxf7 lose a minor piece to kxf7? And you hung a piece on that line anyways. Please, only analyze this if you have a clue of what you're doing.

whatupyodog

Actually jetfighter, blacks position is shit, and yes, you can take that pawn with Qxb4 if you dont mind hopping a pawn, and if your opponent allows that yes, black is better.

Ben_Dubuque

dude in your most recent post I immediately relized Qxa4 was a blunder and you had an equal game at best, but then again you could probably beat me with your eyes closed so what does one guy trying to prove that he know's what he is doing matter to a narcasistic cannable who cares not for others improvement and sanity.

peace.

im out

The_Gavinator

Lol jetfighter, about your kxf7 thing, just play a3 first...

whatupyodog

JEtfighter, no it wasnt, i had mate it one if he didnt.

Thought you wanted sound analysis Gav, whats wrong with post #625Laughing.

After nxd4, white is better, and d5 just hangs a pawn.

Ben_Dubuque

Qc6 and Qc7 prevent mate by protecting b6 and opening a flight square without sacing the queen.

whatupyodog

Thats funny cuz both of those moves hang a bishop.

The_Gavinator

Sorry Gambiteer, I must have looked over that :). I have an issue with a few of your lines:

In the line with 5...Na5, 7. Bb3 is a mistake. The bishop will be taken anyways, so you should play 7.Bg5.

There is a line with 7.Bg5, and you actually did drop a piece :P. In the line with 5...Na5, with subline move 7.Bg5, move 9. Nd4 wins a piece.

Ben_Dubuque

better than what the guy played

whatupyodog

Whatever, i would have easily won and it was because the parham threw him off.

gambiteer12

Yup looks like 9.Nd5 looses the f3 knight, which is something I've got to admit have done a couple times against the parham. 8...c6 should be played instead of 0-0. The logic begind Bb3 was to minimise the pawn structure issues and give the a rook play. Bg5 may be a better alternative for white.
