IM Eric Rosen is the leading theoretician on the Stafford Gambit.
I’ve played the Stafford extensively too and it was after watching Eric’s games and I actually had a private lesson with him on it.
His YouTube videos will be the best place to start. Search up “Eric Rosen Stafford Gambit” and you should see a few long form videos on most of the lines.
Then if you still need more, find a coach who plays the Gambit for more detailed feedback and to refine your understanding further. (Check out my profile if interested later down the line - but the YouTube content from Eric will cover 90% of what you need to know!)

Speaking as one that plays the Petroff, I can safely tell you the Stafford Gambit sucks for Black.
