Is the London system dangerous for beginners ?

I have been trying this opening out  on some Engines in Chessmaster, and I find it can lead to some very  bad results for me very quickly. I know some GMs seem to like London openings, but maybe it's not for under 1000 players. I tend to do much better with some more generic openings not strictly following Bf4 and Nf3. Which is puzzling as those pieces can start off with relatively little threat.

I suppose it's because I'm not a strong player to begin with, and maybe not developing properly, but I'm curious what some better players feel about this opening and how study worthy it is. I sort of feel like I'm banging my head against a wall with it, but it remains intriguing because it does get strong pieces out there  seemingly without a lot of danger initially.

beginners should play e4 in my opinion

it is beginner friendly but doesn't lead to many open type of positions or many tactics which i think you need to get in order to be good tactically.  i suggest trying to play a more open type of position. you can get that with 1 e4 or 1 d4, with some cooperation from black of course.
