pros:
You can play it against anything. As black 1 e4 g6, 1 d4 g6, as white 1 g3, so you accumulate experience with these kinds of positions faster
Bg2/7 is the only way to develop Bf1/8 so that it controls 2 central squares.
drawbacks:
g6 is weakening and can be attacked by h2-h4-h5 or f2-f4-f5
The powerful Bg7 can be exchanged by Be3, Qd2, Bh6

This’ll be my first question of many I’ll ask here. I’m not that experienced though I have learned some basic stuff from the lessons/guide hoping to reach 1000 ELO. But I have not found anything on this. I’ve taken a liking to it, but I’m wondering about the drawbacks and pros of using it.
