It was a great game, enjoyed the challenge :)
King's Gambit A Challenge From Ponz

Both sides have developed, we are entering the middlegame. Black has played a novelty on move 11 according to my database (all games continued with 11...Nxb3).
Black has a better pawn structure and a bishop pair. White gained some space and central pawns. The rook on a1 activated in Bronstein style - without making a move (after the exchange on b3, a file was opened).
Black has a small advantage at this point but I do not feel it can be sufficient to gain anything serious. We will see who is right.
I am super strong I will take the challage it's unrated so why not you can take black I will be glad to take white

So your rating does not reflect your strength? Please explain?
I think 8 games [one finished] is enough for me.

Another game over as RRM888 ran out of time. He had slightly the worse but not a resignable position at all. This is one of the three games which started 1. e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Nf3 g5 4. h4.
Here is the game RRM888 vs ponz111

Ok, I just now heard from RRM888. He had to stay after school longer than anticipated. We are going to start another game with the same moves.
Here is the related game Archer Knight vs ponz111

Another game is over. This time Mainline_Novelty ran out of time.
I am not sure if he just decided his gambit was unsound or whatever was his motive to run out of time. My opinion is I would rather have Black and the end of the game but there was much fight left and Black would have to defend very well to try and win.
Here is the game:

Sorry about that I've been really busy with exams and such lately..definitely wasn't an intentional time-out

Hi, Mainline,
If you would wish to start another game with moves up to the position when you timedout--that would be fine with me. It would make for an interesting game to see what happens in that [final] position.

The king's gambit is quite playable, even at really serious corr/centaur chess. But white's ambitions are most of the times getting a draw.

If Black can find enough lines where he gets a very slight advantage then I would suggest the Kings Gambit not a suitable opening for serious centaur chess.
Who wants to play an opening as White where Black can get a slight advantage?
I think in centaur chess you do not want to play for a draw as White.
But to digress it seems that in centaur chess at the highest levels that
1. e4 e5 is a likely draw?

I believe that when chess is solved, 1.e4 e5 will be a draw.
I agree the Kings Gambit is not suitable too... I am having trouble playing it against ponz.

Here are some updates. I won from Michael Porcelli in a normal looking black side of the Kings Gambit starting with 1. e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Nf3 g5
I won against Main-Line Novelty on time when he tried this gambit:
[Rosentreter Gambi
t]

I suggested to start a new game leading to this position but this suggestion was not accepted. [probably because of school].
I also won from RRM888 on time but he accepted my suggestion to start a new game and we have one of the main lines of the Kings Gambit where I think 5. Ne7 Qe7 gives White headaches. Here is the 2nd
game to date

The game with Michael Porcelli is over. He played fast and thus it was over sooner while others are just getting started. Thank you Michael for the game and being a good sport!
