King's Gambit A Challenge From Ponz

These lines are so very complicated that, yes, I can lose. My prime was in 1988.
Csannot believe how complicated that book on the Kings Gambit is.
[it is a very nice book]

and then I played something that i feel is more offbeat, g3
I have won a couple games recently after playing this move so lets try it again

Some games on their 3rd move. Game with roi-g11 is in the endgame.
I think some want to sit back and see what I play against the others?
[which is a smart thing to do!]

I thought white was supposed to castle queenside in the King's Gambit? O_O
Then again, I play d4 so I know NOTHING.

Endgame? Queenless middlegame I'd say.
You could call it either. You could also call it as part of the opening as it is in the opening book I received recently.

that would be rare, kingside is almost always the case for white. Black is more likely to castle queenside than white is

True, just a matter of perspective.

Michael, your Bc4 was a very bad move. You're already lost :(
It is standard, if i lose it will be from more than that move

Bc4 is an inaccuracy at best, :P (at least according to my book on the King's Gambit, by GM John Shaw)

h4 is the other main option, but you will see that Nc3 is a rarer move. Some people, such as Shaw do not like Bc4, but it is far from proven either way. part of the reason i enjoy the opening. In both my opening books Bc4 is a suggested move. I do not think there currently is a right answer here
