You have to start with 1... Nf6 to prevent 2. e4 on move 2. The King's Indian only exists after c4 by White, otherwise it's a Pirc and White can avoid playing c4 altogether. The reason for this is that Black finds counterplay on central dark squares e5 and d4 in the King's Indian, it just works better with c4 already played.

Hello, first time poster and pretty much chess beginner here.
In the game i just started as black, i want to practice King's Indian.
White started on d4, my move d6.
Then white moved e4.
Now, the instruction videos on the topic i found on YT, has white going c4 on 2. Any advice on how i should proceed with current situation?
