Learning Software

Say I want to learn every opening variation of the Kings Indian Defense and/or Attack... is there a software program out there that I can select that opening and it would teach it? I do have Deep Fritz 14 but haven't quite figured it out...seems a complicated program.

No suggestions anyone?

Chess Openings What You Need to Know.  ChessKing puts it out.  There are three modes: learn, practice, and test.  Learn is kind of like a digital FCO where you step through each opening while reading about it in accompanying text.  Practice whips through the variation quickly while you watch. Test goes maybe halfway through the variation, and then you have to fill in the rest and it gives you a score.

I haven't used it all that much to tell you the truth. It's a standalone program BTW that doesn't require the ChessKing program.  Cheapest way to buy it is in a package with tactics, strategy (pawn formations), and endgames.  Pretty typical Russian style no nonsense training.

I prefer using HIARCS to learn openings.  It gives you the choice of any of 200 openings that you can play against the engine, either dumbed down or full strength.  Hope that helps a little.

Guess joke's on you moron.. I didn't pay anything, was given. And in fact it is... I went from around 1600 average rating in bullet to over 1800 and hitting 1900.  Maybe you should actually check into things before you speak so you don't look like such an idiot.
