Variation C: 9...c5 10.cxd4 cxd4 11.Nc3 Qc4 12.Ne2 (12.Nce4?! h6 13.Nh3 (13.Nd2 Qd3 14.Nge4 Qe3+ 15.Qe2 Qxe2 16.Kxe2) 13...Bxh3 14.gxh3) d3
9...c5 10.cxd4 cxd4 11.0-0
I think these are the most important lines of the 6...Nxd4 variation.

9...c5 10.cxd4 cxd4 11.0-0
I think these are the most important lines of the 6...Nxd4 variation.
The two most critical lines are:
Line A with 12.0-0 Qf6 13.Nc3 Qxd4 14.Nxb5 (NimzoRoy wrote an article about this, he mentioned 14.Bxg5)
14...Qc4 15.Na3 (15.a4!? (maybe an impovement) a6 16.Qh5 Be6 black is fine)
15...Qh4 black is OK
Line C with 9...c5 10.cxd4 cxd4 11.0-0 (white waits with developing his queenside knight, because it isn't clear to which squares the both knights have to develope. With accurate play of black this position could be a draw)
Hi there!
I'm interested in the following variation of the Lolli attack (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5!? 6.d4!):
6...Nxd4! 7.c3 looks like winning the knight, but black continues with 7...b5.
I'm curious if this line is sound for black.
I think the following lines are the main options:
A: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5 6.d4 Nxd4 7.c3 b5 8.Bd3 h6 9.Qh5 hxg5 10.Qxh8 e4 11.cxd4 (11.Bxe4? Qe7 12.Nd2 Nc2+) 11...exd3
1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5 6.d4 Nxd4 7.c3 b5 8.Bd3 h6 9.Nxf7 Kxf7 10.cxd4 exd4
B: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5 6.d4 Nxd4 7.c3 b5 8.Bxd5 Qxd5 9.cxd4 Qxg2
C: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5 6.d4 Nxd4 7.c3 b5 8.Bxd5 Qxd5 9.f3 I think this is a very interesting position. I need to analyse this. Not only this lines by the way XD
D: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5 6.d4 Nxd4 7.c3 b5 8.cxd4 Bb4! (or 8...bxc4 9.0-0) and black has a very active position.
What do you think of this?
