hi
I hate chess now

try to take the game seriously and playfully, seriously to try to win and playfully to test new things in the game, strange moves and exploring the game

I HATE CHESS LIKE IT IS THE END. I WISH I COULD QUIT BUT MY DAD FORCES ME TO PLAY THIS ATROCIOUS GAME.

Ask your father why he wants you to continue to play if you don't like it. Take a break. Find something that you and your father enjoy doing together.
You learn far more from a loss than from a win. Nothing else is as effective at pointing out the holes in your game that need to be fixed up.
This, and it applies to all aspects of life. You think chess takes some mental fortitude? A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I was an amateur boxer/kickboxer for almost five years, one thing I realize in hindsight was that biggest jumps in my abilities and mental toughness always came after losses, they are literally the key to progress, at least in chess you don't get punched lol
