Makagonov system vs. King's Indian (6 h3) - thoughts?

I recently got introduced to the Makagonov system against the King's Indian Defense (KID).  6 h3 is probably the defining move, with white often getting in g4, setting up a "Maroczy bind" against black's f5 push.

I have been encouraged by the results.  I'm a little curious of other people's thoughts about it -- maybe especially from people who play the KID frequently as black.

It's fine but I always get caught out not developing enough in King's Indian positions so I prefer the Samisch and pawn storming later in the game
