jellis

wow

drakesdman

turn 6 i actually cant get out of it i would b trading a queen and a pawn 4 a pawn

ignore the part on turn 6

Bowens

After 2..f6 you lose...you should have just captured the pawn and then scared his queen away with Nc6...

drakesdman

that's what i do sometimes but it usually doesnt end up goo for me (quenn goes back 1 space and brings out 2 bishops and pretty soon i'm in a mess

2... f6? really lost you the game, because once you exchange pawns the opponent can either chackmate you of win your rook. You should have played 2...exd5 and after 3.Qxd5 you can play 3...Nc6 and develop your knight. You would have had the superior position.

The reason you are told not to bring your queen out early is because the opponent can achieve a huge lead in development by attacking your queen while developing.

Yep, never defend the e pawn with the f pawn in the opening. Either use the queen's knight or the d pawn, otherwise you'll meet with disaster.

Agreed. Ironically, you didn't have to worry about his queen until AFTER you played 2. ...f6?

Obviously, the position after your third move was NOT good as you claimed. If White can get at the e8-h5 diagonal (or Black get at the e1-h4 diagonal) without any problems, then it's going to be a bad game for the other side. Here's one game where my opponent played 1. f4, wasn't careful, and lost even quicker than you did. http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=15560180

As far as openings go, this one transposes into a line I once analyzed for fun. It starts 1. e4 f6?! 2. d4 e5? 3. dxe5! fxe5? 4. Qh5+ Ke7 5. Qxe5+

nice

It's just a variation of the Scholar's mate....

Daniel3

After 2.d4 never ever defend the e-pawn. Theory states that Black simply can't hold the resulting positions. You should always capture the pawn, and then drive the Queen back with tempo. Quite simple, actually.

drakesdman

thanks for analizing it

i usually do e6 but then lose my cassaling ability, just tried it this once and saw it

Will try not to make that mistake again, ty all who posted

drakesdman

Wat do you mean found him to be a great opponenent and it's being a fun second game.

f6 was a blunder but you could've recover if you played g6 instead of ke7.

drakesdman

Wow thanks i hadn't done g6 because i new it lost the rook but didn't no there was a way to recover it  however why not 8 knight to c3

Wilio

Just a variation. Just to say that g3 was better than ke7.
