KIA
most obscure but awesome and useful opening

The KIA because you can play it almost against everything and the french though it is not obscure but gives u an awesome hard-to-crack-by-your-opponent defence

I'll second StevieBlues" KIA, on the basis that White gets to attack (awesome), and you can play it against basically anything (useful)
EDIT : I suppose I'm "thirding" it now...

Here's the Double Indian (I made the name up):
obscure? definitely.
awesome? errrm...
useful? yes. I once drew an IM with it.

Just yesterday found a funny defense, the Balogh Defense:
1.e4 d6 2.d4 f5
I'm thinking about giving it a try sometimes...

Sicilian O'Kelly
It's strength is almost entirely in that its obscure. Its the only sicilian in which entering the open sicilian is NOT recommended. The mainline (3.c3) isnt played often either, at least by my sub 2000 opponents.

White can still enter the Open Sicilian, just not with 3.d4?! By playing 3.Nc3! first, White can bypass the ...e5, ...Bb4 stuff, and Black has to either transpose into a different Sicilian, or play the suspicious looking 3...b5!?

I like the Accelerated Dragon, and the Scotch. The Scotch is a very good opening, even acceptable at master level, but I have never faced it in tournament play.

@falcogrine - Those already are my openings - I am just looking for something to play in blitz so that my openents are confused and take more time but thanks anyway - by the way have you read the book Chess Openings for Black/White explained. My coach wrote that
Here is a sample game from a similar line for you to see if you like this kind of tactic:
These are the kind of tactics that the BDG is full of.

@Pippychess - Wow! Good for you, I really like those openings. In blitz, I opt for more closed, Hedgehog-ish (I think) formations where experience, rather than time and calculations, helps. You have many solid moves, any of which you can use well while taking almost no time. Such openings where I play the same response to almost everything means I can usually make over 10 moves in the first several seconds.
what is the most obscure but awesome and useful opening thanks a lot for replying everyone :) I am not ultra familiar with all the chess openings so could you post their first three moves or so
