Maybe the pirc's just not right for you? Just watch numerous master games involving the Pirc and see how black defends. That will give you ideas for your own games.

The pirc is great because I can play it almost always with black E4 D6. But I always get smeared on the kingside where I castle and they take out my H pawn and use queen rook mate. Some other variations but thats the basic idea. Any help.
