Nimzowitsch Defense
How many of you players like to play the Nimzowitsch Defense (1.e4 Nc6)?
And do you like to get into the Colorado variation (1.e4 Nc6 2.Nf3 f5)?
at my level the colorado is pretty much busted. The bigger problem is, that the moves to refute it are not even that difficult to find.
actually i checked with the engine if the newer stockfish find something half playable in it since the old theory is completely busted. IT seems black can almost hang on to dear life with the following
white can either get the e pawn with not enough compensation for black for the pawn but just may be limpable into draw territory, or white can coiling up the pressure with bf4.
so maybe not 100% refuted but 90% refuted lol, the bigger concern is that its simply too easy for white to find the most critical line, and the resulting pawn down ending does not look pleasant in the least even with the slightly better development and king activity. All the other lines are 1.5+ eval level busted.
