I guess I should throw my two cents in.  I don't like to play the Sicilian.  If my opponent plays it I figure he probably knows what he's doing with it, and I know it can be strong.

Yes a well-played Sicilian Dragon or Najdorf can be quite disconcerting for me.

Playing against the Petrov defense feels annoying sometimes.

As black, I like to play against e4, am OK with d4, and dislike anything else. I am just not familier with other possibilities, and the worst thing to do is lose a game in the opening because I am not familier with it.

Basically, I like to play against orthodox lines, cause I normally know how to respond in a manner that my opponent probibly does not know the correct line. If nothing else, it gives my a time advantage (in real life tournaments) with less preparation than most people have to do.

It's so hard to win against the friggin caro-kann.  Black simply takes on e4, plays e6 (after bishop moves) and there are NO targets.  I try so many things but black is just so solid... I think the beat chance 4 white is the advance variation.

As black, I hate playing against random q-pawn openings i.e. 1.d4 Nf6 2.Nf3 followed by something like Bf4, e3, Bd3 etc.  I guess people are afraid of the KID.

I'm becoming bored out of my mind with double king pawn b/c all I get is lopez, lopez, lopez, lopez, lopez....

Queen's pawn

What I hate I usually stay out of, but if white plays e4 black can play sicilian or scandinavian(d5 or c5) and whites position is already bad after only one move. If black responds e5, white can do all sorts of gambits or other openings that black could have a hard time getting out of, and whites large choice of openings(including the gambits) gives him more initiative than he started with. Queen pawn and/or english openings I can get really into. Knight moves are doable, but I usually hold off on them for 3-5 moves.
