novel opening

John Watson (iirc) wrote a page or so on the opening 1.d4 d6; 2.c4 e5 in one of his books. Possibly Mastering the Chess Openings II. I can't find the passage. Does anyone remember seeing this by Watson? If so, please tell me where you saw it.

Thanks!

a) I looked in Watson's MCO II but did not see it.

b) My favorite novel opening is "Call me Ishmael."

Haven't seen Watson's discussion of it, but both "An Explosive Opening Repertoire for Black" and "A Black Defensive System with 1...d6" cover it.

How does the "Call me ishmael" go?

I... I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. I'll second Goldendog's novel opening. One of the best I've ever seen.
