Novelty in the Queens Gambit

There's a large issue with that, mainly the fact that you're blocking the e pawn, and if White wanted to capture back on c4, he'd simply have to do 3 e3 dxc4 4 bxc4 bxc4 5 qa4+, winning back the bishop and being ahead in development.
When Black tries to defend their extra pawn, it often turns into a large battle where White ends up with better development. Here are the games I often have when Black tries to protect the c pawn.

I seen that in some of the games ( on my level ) . As Syanas said main problem is that you are blocking your e peon. Your e peon then blocks your bishop that cant control c5 for your c5 push maybe.
If you rly want to counter players that play queen gambit you shuld try albin counter gambit cos that can be very problematic for a players that are not prepared.
