opening

don't play the London you'll get into the same positions every time, but yes its probably more positional than tactical

It's pointless to talk about "positional" and "tactical" at your current level.
Positional understanding and tactical skills are both needed to get better at chess.
Here is a London game by one of the pioneers of the opening, GM Vlatko Kovacevic. He played the London almost exclusively, and in a very aggressive way- and the same goes for this game. His sacrifice at h7 basically gives away a very large advantage, but I don't think it matters. The game clearly shows that if white is in the mood, the London may become extremely tactical. And of course post #2 is the usual FUD: A lot of people think that playing the London is basically spamming the first dozen of moves with the white pieces regardless of what Black is doing. This actually is a great way of misplaying the opening.
