Opening Database?

I need an opening softwair or database, can be like games explorer (but free) or just simply words.

I am looking to play a lot of different openings and experiencing with each of them, to see is comfortable for me, your help is appreciated.

I have no database, but play the English, (1.c4), once you get a feel for it you will love it.

Download SCID (free database software) and use their opening window pane to see the entire tree for the opening book. Should get you going. 

Now if you want the ideas behind these opening moves, you have to either get the right books or google really well.

I have chessbase (light 2009), i heard it is same as SCID, would this work?

I have downloaded SCID, but i do not know how to work it, can you help me?
