By the way, to which extent powerful computer is needed for analysis? I use Chessbase rarely but it seems that old laptop is a little bit too small for it..

Scid vs Pc is also a great option for maintaining databases and for overall database study.

For GUIs, I just use SCID. Does everything I need for offline bot play and analysis.

I reviewed the Page and seems that it is perfect for engine play but lacks features like analysis and up-to-date engines and opening books. For Beginners who want to improve their play by studying engines, I would recommend them this program.

A few good free ones:
- ScidvsPC https://sourceforge.net/projects/scidvspc/

- Banksia GUI https://banksiagui.com/download/

- Lucas Chess https://github.com/lukasmonk/lucaschessR2

I really like Lucas Chess.

Complete, with training, lots of engines, a very good analysis (better than Fritz )

I only miss some 3d boards, but that's ok.
