For bullet:
1.a4 2.Ra3 3.Rd3 4.Rtakes whatever it's on the d-file.
your opponent will be like "wtf" and you'll win on time.

Even though I dont tailor my openings for blitz or bullet I think my repertoire is pretty good for it.
White:
-Trompowsky v 1..nf6 -Complicated and unique positions I know well
-Hopton (2.Bg5) v 1..f5 -Black must play accurately, white often gets attacks
-London v 1..d5, 1..e6 -Even though people say its boring I probably get more miniatures in this than anything else.
-Torre v tries like 1..d6 an others
All of them lead to similar structures each game in which you know plans well, very natural. I also have a few gambits such as the Vaganian, Spassky, Morris, petrosian and Wagner in there that often throw off opponents, since theyre quite obscure and atypical of these 'quiet' openings.
Black:
Triangle Semi-slav:
-Against 4.e3 or any d4 deviations I play ..f5 and transpose to a Stonewall Dutch. Once again very systematic, easy to play and remember and I know plans better than opponent.
-4.Nf3 I play the Noteboom. Since most of my repertoire is low theory, this is really all I study, which means im quite well versed in its lines.
It's very complicated and many people make simple mistakes, such as letting my c pawn through off a move order error, and they often get crushed.
-Marshall Gambit 4.e4 doesn't bother me, once again these lines are all I study for openings and I know them quite well. Very complicated an opponents usually mess up in the next 5 moves.
Against 1.e4 I play the Sicilian O'kelly.
I think this is a great blitz opening.
First of all it shuts down the Rossolimo/Moscow and Tiviakov Grandprix, which trips up some white players. I feel it also along with 2..e6 is an optimal way to meet the 2. and 3. Bc4 lines.
Many people are unaware of the nuance of 2..a6 an enter the open sicilian, which gives me a very simple easy game with the initiative.
Playing against standard grand prix (without Bb5) and closed sicilian dont bother me. They don't give any reason to think and you can basically cruise through with natural moves if you know the plans.
The only critical line is when they play 3.c3 and go into an alapin. But most alapin players will play it on move 2. So if its just someone at my level playing this theoretical recommendation, im sure I know alapin syle lines much much better than they do.
After the 3.Nc3 waiting move I go into a Sicilian Kan, which once again is very plan based, rather than memorisation of sharp lines. This makes it easy to play in blitz.
So overall I think I have a pretty good blit repertoire. Of course it's all semi-closed positions, which arn't to everybodys taste, most people seem to prefer open.
Good ideas folks.Lot of things to study. My idea is that an opening that is possible to do "pre moves" would be intersting also.Like Queen gambit, modern or the indian types
I would try Grob Gambit - 1-g4, d5 and 2-Bg2. It's a tricky opening. Opponent will make some mistakes or will lose time wondering why I let the g4 pawn unprotected. As he takes it, I play c4 and I have some advantage. When I am on black side, against d4 I play 1-b5 (polish defense). Many players aren't prepared against this defense. I won lot of games with that opening.
Is there a set of openings and opening traps that I should be studying to improve my wins in bullet and fast blitz?
